Cara Box Reveal! 4

I am so excited to reveal my first ever Cara Box that I received from the wonderful Lindsay at Our Lovely Life!
Cara Box

I absolutely love this idea and can't thank Kaitlyn at Wifessionals enough for creating such a great activity!  Who doesn't love getting mail every month with some fun goodies inside of it?  If you don't...you're nuts!

I had the pleasure of sending my box to Courtney of All Things Unpredictable and Chic and received my box from Lindsay.

She did such an amazing job :)

She tissue wrapped all of my goodies in some of my favorite colors!  Lindsay also wrote me such a nice note, that I still have it up on my refrigerator at home!

Here is what I got!

1. Banana Chips - one of my favorite snacks
2. Gud body lotion - I've never tried this, but used it right away and it is fantastic!
3. Meyers Hand Soap - pretty much the best soap ever.  She didn't know this, but I use this brand all the time!
4. Cashews - another one of my favorite snacks
5. Mason Jar Drink Carrier - I am IN LOVE with this!  I've already taken it everyone and get compliments all the time!  Way to go Lindsay!

I'm already enjoying these two things at work!

Again, I am so happy I signed up for Cara Box and can't wait until next month!

Thanks again Lindsay, you did a fantastic job!

Weekend Update 4

Hey all, hope you had a fantastic, relaxing, exciting and all around great weekend!

Here is an update on my weekend!

1.)  My parents are back in the USA!  They returned home from New Zealand and had a night in LA.  So of course they stayed with us and we went to dinner!
2.)  Rams gave me an Anthropologie giftcard for my birthday, so I spent Saturday evening shopping online with my favorite beer!
3.)  The dogs were hanging out with me in the office
4.)  While shopping I decided I can't live without these shoes...but because of the price...I will live without them!

5.)  It was a beautiful morning on Sunday, so I enjoyed the bright light with the boys on the couch.
6.)  This boy was beside me all weekend.
7.)  Took a jaunt to the local outdoor mall to see some clothes in person, and of course didn't get out of them empty handed.
8.)  These shorts are one of the said purchases...what do you all think?

There you have it, my weekend in 8 pictures!

The desirable Wife 5

At work yesterday one of my coworkers brought in some freshly squeezed juice and bagels for all of us.  I went to thank her and began talking about her life.

She wakes up every morning at 5:00, does her exercises, showers, makes a breakfast for her family, makes lunches and then heads to work.  After work she goes home to make a fresh dinner and dessert.  Wash - rinse - repeat.

I told her I never want Rams to meet her because then I'd have to live up to her amazingness.  I also let her know that we live about 3 minutes away from one another and I would be at her door every morning for a home made breakfast.

This got me to thinking about the perfect wife.  Sometimes I wish I could be this woman!

Every morning I woud get up and excersice for at least an hour.   I would make sure to work on all my trouble spots so I look extra hot in my clothes - or not in my clothes.

After my morning workout I'd head to the shower.  I would make sure to shave my legs daily - no man wants prickly legs right?
I would then do my hair and make up a la Lauren Conrad.  She obviously does herself up daily, but looks like she magically wakes up that way.  Rams would think I am this perfect all the time!

Next I would go downstairs looking perfect and make a balanced breakfast (like Giada).  Every man needs a good breakfast in order to make it through the day right?
After making breakfast I'd move to making his lunch.  My goal would be to make his day as pleasurable and stressfree as possible, this includes a delicious lunch!

Next I would head to work.  This is one thing I would keep doing to save myself from going crazy trying to be the perfect wife.

I would, of course, call my husband to make sure his breakfast and lunch were to his liking.

After work, I would walk in the door, put on my best night outfit and make sure I still looked presentable and HOT for the hubby.

I would make sure the laudry was done and the house is clean.

Next it would be dinner time - a different homemade meal every night.  No leftovers in this house.
After dinner would be dessert, a nice massage and then going to bed.

I would then wake up the next morning at 5:00 am and do it all again!

Ok, in all reality we know this will never happen and that it is a little too 1950's.
Some of this hypothetical life I would love to be able to do.
But let us be honest, it's not going to happen.

I think my goal will be to make dinner every night...that would be amazing!

First things First 7

Today I'm linking up and cohosting with Halie at Penquins, Pasta and Polkadots and Kaitlynn at Wifessionals for First Things First!  Be sure to check out  these two ladies and see what they would do with their questions!

First Things First

1. First thing you would do/buy if you won the lottery
This one is a hard question because there are a lot of things I would do first if I won the lottery. So instead of saying the first, I'm going to say the first few things I would do.
The first thing I would do is put the majority of the winnings into an investment account ( a good one with a lot of interest).  After saving some I would give a large chunk to a charity that means a lot to me.
Next I'd put enough in my nephew's and neices's college accounts to allow them never to worry about paying for college.

Then I would give some to my family, help them pay off loans, houses etc.  After all this I'd go buy Rams a new Aston Martin (his dream car) and a Rolex.

After his wishlist is taken care of I would get myself a little something as well...a gigantic diamond ring,

all the hair highlighting I can dream of, a vintage Chanel purse!

2. First person you call when you get amazing news
The first person I call is my husband.  Due to the fact that he is a man, he never has quite the reaction that I hope for.  I usually am looking for a squeel of some sort and that has never come from his mouth...he tries, bless his heart, but fails.  I love him for it though!

I will call my mom next.
She is really good at acting like she cares and pretending that she is as excited as I am.

we are really excited in this picture - can you tell?

3. First thing you do when you've had a bad day
Stop at the store and get a good bottle of wine!  Yes yes, I know that may not be the best way to deal with a bad day, but it sure helps! I know I should say I will go for a run or something healthy like that, but NO...WINE IS THE ANSWER!

After getting my bottle of wine, I normally will go home, gripe to Rams and take a long bath with a glass - or two - of wine!

Make sure to go and check out the other lovely ladies I'm cohosting with today, join and link up!

Weekend Update 2

Ok...for some reason my post didn't show up yesterday...I'm  a day behind!  WHAT?! So here is my weekend update a day late!

I'm never too sure how to start a Monday morning post.  We all hate having to get back to reality!  So, instead of complaining I'm going straight into my weekend update!  As always, I'm linking up with Sami for our Weekend Shennanigans!

  1. Rams and I went to a Korean BBQ place near our house on Friday night.  Here is my handsome husband!
  2. Saturday morning the pool contractor we chose came over to draw the final outline of our pool!
  3. Hanging out outside with Roscoe while the men spray painted the yard!  Don't judge my super attractive hair do...it was early!
  4. Roscoe, Rams and the pool builder signing the contract!  We start the digging on the 30th. WAHOO!

  1. After the pool guy left we went to grab some lunch.  This is an outfit I couldn't get over!
  2. Saturday night. Our neighbors were having a large party...we weren't invited :)
  3. A gigantic bowl of fruit salad - mangos, pineapple, melon and lime juice! Delicious.
  4. Made the mistake of walking into my version of heaven.

Don' forget to head on over to see what Sami did this weekend as well!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Friday's Favorite 5 4

This week seemed like it took for freaking ever to finish...am I right or am I right?
So thank the lord it is finally FRIDAY!

Time for my Friday's Favorite 5!

Again...if you're interested in making this a link up with me please contact me :)

1.)L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil:  This stuff is fantastic for the shower or for taking a bath.  I LOVE taking baths and a put a little bit of this deliciouslly smelling heaven into the tub and taadaaa...a perfect relaxing bubble bath!

2.) Subway Flatbread Sandwhiches:  I used to stick to the good old wheat bread that is so delicious.  The other day I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and try the flatbreat...it was amazing!  Try it, you won't regret it!

3.) Grocery Shopping:  I LOVE grocery shopping.  Rams and I usually go together and it is just a nice time to hang out, get some food we both love and have fun.  This may seem weird, but we could spend hours in a grocery store looking at all the fun stuff!

4.) Essie Chinchilly Nail Polish:  I love Essie nail polish in general and I absolutley adore this color.  If you have yet to try the brand or the color...get on over to your nearest drugstore or targert and get to becoming obsessed!

5.)  Dave Ryan Show:  This is a radio show that is based in Minneapolis and I listened to it while living there every morning.  Since moving to CA I listen to it every day on iheart radio.  I just love it.  They are dumb, funny and entertaining...everything that I want out of a show!

Have a great weekend all!

I talk about my babies quite a bit on here so I thought I would go a bit farther into my eldest dog, Roscoe.  He's the adorable on in my button picture!

Meet Roscoe aka "shit head" or "dumb dumb"

Roscoe is a Puggle and he is SO cute, but SO annoying!  I love him and so does Rams, but I'm pretty sure we are the only ones who do.

We got Roscoe as a puppy.
I was working in a Vet Clinic and decided I needed a dog.  I wasn't sure what kind I wanted, so my coworkers said "Puggles are cute, get one of those"!
Over lunch I got online to find some Puggles and found one.

The same day Rams and I headed to the breeder to meet the only puppy they had left.  He was so cute and cuddly...we fell in love with him.
What we chose not to listen to at time was that he had been returned 3 times to the breeder before meeting us! RED FLAG?!  Apparently not!
An amount, that shall remain a secret, was given to the breeder and we headed home with our new dog!

Puppy Roscoe

We named our new addition Roscoe, after a town in Montana near my family's cabin.  It fit him perfectly.

Already destroying everything!

We didn't train him well, and admittedly most  some of his issues are our fault, but we LOVE him anyway!

-He loves his belly rubs.  Actually he is obsessed with belly rubs...see below!

-He doesn't listen to anyone
-He loves to cuddle - especially under blankets

-He runs away if you call him - it's a game
-He loves to hump his brother - pardon my bluntness - but it is true.  You will hear "Roscoe quit humping your brother" at least 20 times per night.
-He steels anything he can get his little stinky mouth on (socks, skivvies, shoes, paper, breast-pumps)

-He loves food
-He is stubborn
-He loves me!

My family often asks if I would ever get another Puggle...and as much as he drives me crazy, I would get another one in a heartbeat!

He is my baby and I can't imagine my life without him!

My admission... 7

Ok, I have to admit something that I am not exactly proud of.  I am jealous.

I hate being jealous, and I hate using that word.
I get this feeling more that I would like to.
I don't think it is a healthy feeling, but I can't help it!

I am jealous of the bloggy friendships that I keep reading about.

I have always had insecruity surrounding friendships and meeting new people.  This is a conversation I will save for another time and day.  Lately these insecurities have been intensified by all this "best-bloggy" friend talk.

I haven't been blogging long - about 3 months - and I know that I can't expect to have connected with tons of people, but I can't help but think "why haven't I?"
Don't get me wrong, I have met some amazing people, or shall I say friends, since starting this adventure of mine.  However, none of these are to the point of exchanging numbers, texting and giving gushy love on our blogs!

I have so many thoughts that go through my head when seeing these blooming friendshps.
Am I not funny enough?
Am I too boring?
Am I not someone that people want to be friends with or connect with?
Why don't people want to be my friend?
What is wrong with me?

I know and hope that evenutally these relationships will come. At this moment I hate that I don't have them and this is what I'm jealous of!

Wrong or right this is how I feel - should I be ashamed?  I sure hope not!

The style I wish I could have 4

I am not a very fashionable person.  I would LOVE to have that eye for clothes, but I don't.  Frankly, I suck at picking out outfits and often have my husband suggest things for me.

I was browsing through Pinterest the other day and found some pins I loved and wished I could have!  Basically these pictures represent the person I wish I could be - or dress like!

This is so feminie and something I would love to wear!  Who doesn't like pink and flowy?

I like this outfit for work.  Super classy looking but still fun at the same time!  If I looked like her it would be even better :)

If I were a size 00 and looked like this person, I would totally wear this.  It just looks good!

All I can say is this it HOT (especially standing on the side of the road, so practical)...I would never have the guts to wear this but it is fantastic!

This is such a cute spring outfit and I am obsessed with the wedges.

I NEED THESE...that is all!

There we have it, a few of the outfits I wish I could have and wish I could wear...daily!  What are some of your favorite looks?

One more thing...I'm giving away some awesome goodies over on the lovely Whitney's Blog...check her out and enter to win a Rafflecopter giveaway !
